Tom Hingley, ex-frontman of one of the most influential bands to come out of Manchester, The Inspiral Carpets. As well as maintaining a successful solo career, Tom now fronts new band, The Lovers.

Yes I've done a few gigs there it's a cool place

Apart from the rest of the Inspirals, do you still keep in touch with any of the major players from the so called 'Baggy Scene'?

Not really, back in the day I used to meet Ian Brown and Mani in Chorlton Safeways, I used to know Hooky too (he's a really nice man!)

Are there any aspirations you've yet to fulfil?

Millions, to write more songs and hopefully have some more kids one day....

What's the best thing about making music for a living?

You don't have a boss.
