Well, at this moment then other two are in bed, just got back from
Macedonia and Bulgaria, wild audiences!
Most of 2007 is gonna be festivals for us, got Japan in a couple of days
(which is always a pleasure!)
also got me first unplugged acoustic show in Tokyo next week, with me
drummer Duncan, bit scared about that one! the other festivals are all
across Europe.
And, of course the UK tour in september, well nervous!
The main factor, having Duncan and Tommy in the band, they are
gentlemen,
great showmen. and the best musicians I have played with.
I have always been itching to play the UK, but never been really satisfied
with the line up until now, we live here, and I want us to be the best we
can be!
For a number of other reasons it also felt the right time to do the UK.
First thoughts are, is there gonna be an audience!? can anybody still
remember us up there? are ya still alive!?
It will be great to see old faces and meet up with people again, and of
course to see new faces would be nice too
I am incredibly nervous mind ya! lookin forward to it though.
Oh, difficult question, I like small venues, close contact with the
audience.
I always loved The Old 29 in Sunderland.
there was a gig we done in Newcastle university around 1983, that was a
great one.
As for Durham, the Fowlers Yard was the best one, 1981, how the hell old
am
I!??
Bearing in mind I was only 12 when we played these places!
I am completely outta touch with whats goin on the music world to be
honest, I saw the top singles chart the other week, couldn't figure out
which one was the song and which one was the band!?
I do like the Fratellis though, ...and SLF, Peter and the Test Tube
babies,
Abba, Ella Fitzgerald, Mozart, Strauss, etc.. loads, except DISCO music,
did
I just say music!?
The Sweet, Slade, Beatles.
Finally arriving at the gig after 12 hours in the van. Dogs tails
wagging.
On a serious note Unnecessary deaths & suffering, cruelty to animals.
on a personal note. having no beer in then fridge.
When its approaching a tour/ gigs, I am drinking 2 pints of water and 2
paints of smoothies every day, boring eh!?
In between tours, and days off, and end of tours.. well that's a different
story. We did a south American tour last November, then we had 4 months off
touring, in that time I did drink more and more, too much to be honest,
Guinness mainly, around 3-6 pints each day on average, oh, and Alker
Seltzer!
